FAQ
Who do you work with?
I provide psychological therapy for adults 16+.
What are your fees?
Individual therapy sessions are £80 per hour. Coaching and mentoring sessions are £120 per hour.
Please contact me directly to discuss corporate therapy, consultancy rates for companies or media work.
Can I cancel a session?
It is absolutely fine to cancel a session once we have started work together. I require 48 hours notice to cancel a session without charge (please note that this applies whatever the reason for cancellation).
How many sessions will I need?
I offer both short (6-12 weeks) and long term interventions. The length of time someone receives treatment for ultimately depends on how long it takes for them to feel that they have achieved their goals. At our initial consultation we can discuss your goals and I will be able to make some suggestions about whether it sounds like a longer term intervention might be needed or whether we can create a more brief focussed plan. Ultimately though the decision will be yours. There is no obligation to engage in long term treatment and we will have regular reviews to ensure that you are not receiving therapy for longer than you need.
Is the service confidential?
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies adhere to clear and strict guidelines on confidentiality. Any information disclosed to me (including case notes, records, and psychological test results) is confidential and cannot be disclosed without your direct consent. If there is any need to disclose information to another professional (for example a medical doctor, lawyer, pastor or third party billing source), you will be consulted first.
How often will we meet?
I recommend that we meet weekly, certainly initially as this is a good way to build a therapeutic relationship. People may decide to move to fortnightly or even monthly sessions as the treatment progresses.
